That older couple who followed mrs. o'rielly out had made a purchase at the bay. See the yellow bay bag, if they used their bay card should be fairly easy to identify them.

um, i work in a bar, and i can tell you a few things.

1) if a patron takes his shirt off and throws it at someone, he is going to start a fight. if a doorman takes him down, he did a good job. people are forgetting that these morons are picking fights. if you dont pick fights, you dont get harrassed. do you know why? BECAUSE THEY WORK IN A BAR. they just have to wait 4 seconds, and they'll get their chance to up the adrenalin and get physical. they dont need to "pick people"

2) the heresay on this page is outrageous. "i knew this guy...there was this one time...i heard that...". people have to remember that the facts are the most important thing here. if the doorman actually punched this justin guy in teh face, he was wrong. but it doesnt sound like any staff were responsible for his face getting hamburgered previous to that. and if there are actual witnesses saying that justin started it, that justin caused the altercation, and that he wasnt unconcious (to the point of refusing medical attention - ya really, really bright move, Einstein) they why is there a facebook page, a petition, even this blog? if you didnt see what happened with your own eyes, you HAVE to go with eyewitnesses. thats the law. the rest is storytelling, and from reading every post in this blog, it looks like the taller tales are on the "plaintiff" side.

i call dirty pool. even if the doorman DID punch justin as he left.

Hi folks,

I just read this story (http://www.monctonblogger.com/2009/10/the-new-old-cosmo-is-back-in-moncton-night-club-grand-opening-oct-3109-halloween-night/); I'm moving to the area in April, and I'm not having any luck finding any websites for the clubs in Moncton that offer Jazz music...I don't know if it's a problem with google, or if there just aren't any websites...I can't find any other references for the Cosmo either. Can someone let me know of a reliable resource for finding Jazz clubs or Jazz nights? (By the way, I'm a professional keys player if anyone is looking...) cmyngbl@mta.ca

Your very welcome!

Seems like you got a pretty good deal getting a free laptop too. I'm just glad that this Easyhome issue you were having at the one on Paul St. in Moncton is finally resolved. Waiting a full year for this is beyond belief. I guess my email I sent to Easyhome did open their eyes like you said and they finally took necessary action to make things right.

I'm sure we'll talk another time at any business events held in Moncton. In the meantime I'll leave you wondering on my identity and hope you enjoy your new dishwasher and laptop from Easyhome that was long overdue.

Sincerely,

First off thanks Moncton Blogger!

I was looking up the phone number for Easyhome in Moncton on Paul St. using the Google Search Engine and I found this article. I use to have the phone number for Easyhome on Paul St. memorized ( 858-0822 ) as I called them enough, I was a frequent caller.

Anyways I started reading this blog post only to be shocked that this is my dishwasher you were talking about. I remember going to that business seminar and talking to a few people about this issue I was having with Easyhome in Moncton on Paul St. Well the reason why I was trying to call them is that last week I received a call from Trevor the Regional Manager for Easyhome saying that they are going to bring me a brand new dishwasher and apologized for the inconvenience and said that this was unacceptable. I completely agreed as it has been a full year now since they took my dishwasher. I was kind of shocked as to why he was calling me out of the blue but now I see why with this article on Moncton Blogger.

Long story short, they delivered my brand new dishwasher (still in the box) today. Finally!!! Despite the frustration with Easyhome and especially the wife, our complaint has finally been resolved. I ended up getting a brand new dishwasher for the wait and inconvenience and about 3 months ago they gave me a free Durabook Laptop after complaining to them for a while. Since I wasn't getting anything resolved I had to go over people's head high up and talked to James the Territorial Manager of EasyHome and he did something for me right away. After that I received the free laptop and my dishwasher was suppose to be fixed and delivered within a week and never happened. No phone calls or nothing until last week when Trevor called me. I strongly believe that they only called because of this article. I wonder how much longer this whole thing would have gone on.

Moncton Blogger thanks for writing this post and sending it on to Easyhome head office about my consumer complaint. I managed to get a free laptop out of the deal myself but with your article I finally think you opened their eyes as negative word of mouth about a business is never a good thing especially online as it can spread like a virus. Being a business owner myself I could never imagine doing something like this to a customer. Easyhome should remember this, without customers you have no business and it's so easy in today's world to go up the road to a competitor. Easyhome should value their customers and treat them with respect and be prompt on issues that occur.

Finally after a roller coaster of a ride with Easyhome in Moncton on Paul St. I have finally received my brand new dishwasher. Now I can finally move on and put this ridiculous situation behind me. I'm still shocked this took so long but not so much now really after doing some research online about Easyhome I found a website called ConsumerComplaints.com where I've seen other people having the same issue. Crazy as I am still shaking my head over this whole situation.

I'm glad I have my new dishwasher, my free laptop and that I'm finally done with Easyhome. I can honestly say that I do not think that they'll ever get my business again, at least not that Easyhome location that I guarantee for sure.

Great blog Moncton Blogger! I'll definitely stop by again and hope that you are able to help other people in Moncton. I think this is a great place where Moncton can talk. I don't know which one of you at the business seminar own this blog but maybe we'll talk again another day. Curious now on which of you did this actually :)

Thanks Moncton Blogger!

Joey Smallwood soldout N.F.L.D to Quebec years ago ,seems that same spirit has rizen again in Shawn Graham only, now Shawn is selling to a province that wants to tear Canada apart, soon we will be relying on a foreign country for our rates.
By the way Joey Smallwood did well for himself (he got rich),can't say the same for N.F.L.D.

Hi,
I was shocked to read this article. I myself am a door supervisor (bouncer) and a female one. I don't know your laws and rules there but here in the UK to become a door supervisor you must undertake training and then obtain a licence. Should you do anything even remotely like what went on to that man, you would get your licence taken away. It is illegal to have an unregistered door supervisor working at your establishment and the place could get shut down if this happens.
Surely there must be a regulation that prevents this happening? At the end of the day we are there to protect the patrons of the establishment, NOT to buuly them. I suggest that the appropiate action is taken against these BULLIES and tey be removed from their job. There must be something that can be done. Are there legal requirements, laws, restrictions to who can become a door supervisor? If tere are then these people must be breaking them? Part of the training is to show respect, appropiate body language and have a calm attitude about yourself and when possible, to eject a patron WITHOUT having to touch him. Should force be necessary, then minimum only. If a collegue of mine did this, I would be the first to report him/her.

As you know a typical politician tells you what he wants you to hear, not what you should know. Most times when the ruling party changes hands, the party that takes their place always claims they will make sweeping changes to the system. After elected they frequently blame the former party for inaccurate figures and don't honour their promises . This same idea could very easily be used by the perspective new owners of NB Power when they say no power increases for the next 5 years, not to mention after the 5 years are up. In the meantime there is nothing to guarantee them from making power increases if the new perspective owners claim that modifications , repairs or upgrades are needed or for whatever reasons they see fit at the time.. This is one of the factors why this deal has too many gray areas that that could be exploited . Besides this is a public utility owned by all NEW BRUNSWICKERS , and must be settled in an ELECTION and thus decided by the VOTERS of NB , not solely by Shawn Graham and his yes men/women entourage. IT IS NOT HIS TO SELL!!!!!

I think it is time that Shawn Graham goes. He is going to ruin the province of N.B. if he stays and this deal goes thru. Too bad we can't do like the states do with their presidents when they go too far. Impech him.John.

I sent this email to Dave MacDonald of CBC Moncton
Hi Dave,I hope all is well

Dave when I first heard Shawn Graham was going to sell N.B. Power.I emailed you asking to find out if Shawn fell off his rocker .I wanted to know the pros and cons of the deal. Talking to people getting bits and pieces here and there I wasn't sure, I am now.

I went to a town hall meeting this evening where Professor Yves Gagnon was the main speaker. He spoke in laymen's terms and spelled out this TERRIBLE DEAL. He pointed out 84 pros for the Quebec side and only 14 for N.B.
The point that was the scariest was that the revenue N.Bers pay into the government with there electricity bills every year will cease as soon as Quebec takes over. $420 million /year will not be going to the government for ever and ever, it all goes to Quebec. We will have our provincial debt payed off ,but for how long. The government will have to raise taxes to generate revenue or start borrowing again . How many years before we owe 4 billion again. Then what will we sell then.
Shawn is in trouble with this deal and no doubt in the coming months he will try to have this deal sweetened to sway the people, probably by negotiating the rates a little lower. Even if Quebec lowers the rate to the same as they sell it for in there province (7/Kilowatt Hour ) this will be a BAD DEAL. We all know how fast time flies 5 years ,blink and its gone, ask yourself what Quebec will do then Shawn.
CBC TV should invite Professor Gagnon to present this presentation in its entirety to the people N.B and then invite Shawn defend this deal before its to late.
Shawn, now that I am more informed , if this deal goes through no matter how new your rocker is the legs will surely fall off and you will go down leaving the people of N.B. in a mess. Not a nice legacey ,don't let your pride stand in the way, people will respect you for it in the end.

Dave when I first heard Shawn Graham was going to sell N.B. Power.I emailed you asking to find out if Shawn fell off his rocker .I wanted to know the pros and cons of the deal. Talking to people getting bits and pieces here and there I wasn’t sure, I am now.

I went to a town hall meeting this evening where Professor Yves Gagnon was the main speaker. He spoke in laymen’s terms and spelled out this TERRIBLE DEAL.
Shawn, now that I am more informed , if this deal goes through no matter how new your rocker is the legs will surely fall off and you will go down leaving the people of N.B. in a mess. Not a nice legacey ,don’t let your pride stand in the way, people will respect you for it in the end.
