Hurricane Earl To Hit Moncton - Tropical Storm Warning MaritimesHurricane Earl is on its way to the Maritimes and a tropical storm warning is in effect in Moncton. Hurricane Earl will bring strong winds and heavy rain to much of the Maritimes and the people of Moncton are urged to be prepared. It’s advised that people should bring in anything laying around the yard that could be blown away during the storm. As we can remember when Hurricane Juan hit Halifax Nova Scotia back on September 28/29 , 2003 it left quite a bit of damage in its path. It’s unsure how Hurricane Earl will impact the Maritimes as of yet but we’ll soon find out Saturday morning when it arrives. Moncton is expected to receive heavy rainfall amounts 30-40 mm and high winds from Hurricane Earl.
