Is EasyHome really that easy? Recently at a business seminar here in Moncton I was talking to a local business owner I met there and the conversation came out about customer service and how it can make or break a business. Customer service is a must in any business and when the company lacks service it will end up hurting your business greatly. Easyhome on Paul Street in Moncton should read this post and learn from their poor management.

This business owner told me about his escapade with EasyHome on Paul Street in Moncton. He told me how he had purchased a dishwasher and almost at the end of the term of the agreement there was a problem with the motor so he had called to get it fixed. The dishwasher ended up going out for repair back last March of 2009. After about 2 or 3 months then without any phone calls from them and this guy calling regularly each week to follow up on it they did bring it back. It came back with not one thing done with it and the motor still made a loud grinding noise. On top of that it came back dented! So he quickly called EasyHome in Moncton for them to return back, take the dishwasher to get fixed including the dent with their poor care of his appliance. They then gave him the replacement dishwasher back and it went out for repair again.

Now here is where it gets unbelievable! It is now almost February 2010 and he still has yet to receive his dishwasher back. How long does it take to get an appliance serviced? Think about it. I think at most, being reasonable it shouldn’t take more then a week or lets say two weeks to get done. Think how long it takes to get your car fixed? I think a week is too much as this should have been done way sooner….. Now it’s almost 1 year and this guy still does not have his dishwasher back yet from Easyhome. What poor customer service that EasyHome in Moncton on Paul Street has. The guy I met at this meeting said to me that Jake the manager at EasyHome in Moncton does not return any of his calls. It is always him calling the company inquiring about the status of the dishwasher. The guy laughed and said that I think Jake should be at these business seminarsto improve himself as a manager and to fully understand the importance of customer service in business. That is something he really needs! I laughed and agreed in astonishment. I could not believe that it’s taken almost a year in March 2010.

So next time you see EasyHome ads or flyers saying they make it so easy for customers think twice! They say same day delivery which is not true, no hassles and the Easy part in their business name after hearing about this story should be thought twice about as well. I think the President of EasyHome should hear about this and know what’s going on in this case. Bad word of mouth can hurt a company greatly! I know this guy I met at this business seminar in Moncton told me but how many others did he tell. He laughed about it and joked but I could tell he was angry and annoyed as he could not understand how a company can do that to a client.
I just wonder how many more EasyHome complaints against the one on Paul Street in Moncton are there. After hearing about this story I am going to forward this on to the President of EasyHome and hopefully this guy I met gets his consumer complaint finally resolved after a year. If it helps other people too, then leave your comment or story you have concerning your experience with either EasyHome in Moncton or other EasyHome’s in your area.

First off thanks Moncton Blogger!
I was looking up the phone number for Easyhome in Moncton on Paul St. using the Google Search Engine and I found this article. I use to have the phone number for Easyhome on Paul St. memorized ( 858-0822 ) as I called them enough, I was a frequent caller.
Anyways I started reading this blog post only to be shocked that this is my dishwasher you were talking about. I remember going to that business seminar and talking to a few people about this issue I was having with Easyhome in Moncton on Paul St. Well the reason why I was trying to call them is that last week I received a call from Trevor the Regional Manager for Easyhome saying that they are going to bring me a brand new dishwasher and apologized for the inconvenience and said that this was unacceptable. I completely agreed as it has been a full year now since they took my dishwasher. I was kind of shocked as to why he was calling me out of the blue but now I see why with this article on Moncton Blogger.
Long story short, they delivered my brand new dishwasher (still in the box) today. Finally!!! Despite the frustration with Easyhome and especially the wife, our complaint has finally been resolved. I ended up getting a brand new dishwasher for the wait and inconvenience and about 3 months ago they gave me a free Durabook Laptop after complaining to them for a while. Since I wasn’t getting anything resolved I had to go over people’s head high up and talked to James the Territorial Manager of EasyHome and he did something for me right away. After that I received the free laptop and my dishwasher was suppose to be fixed and delivered within a week and never happened. No phone calls or nothing until last week when Trevor called me. I strongly believe that they only called because of this article. I wonder how much longer this whole thing would have gone on.
Moncton Blogger thanks for writing this post and sending it on to Easyhome head office about my consumer complaint. I managed to get a free laptop out of the deal myself but with your article I finally think you opened their eyes as negative word of mouth about a business is never a good thing especially online as it can spread like a virus. Being a business owner myself I could never imagine doing something like this to a customer. Easyhome should remember this, without customers you have no business and it’s so easy in today’s world to go up the road to a competitor. Easyhome should value their customers and treat them with respect and be prompt on issues that occur.
Finally after a roller coaster of a ride with Easyhome in Moncton on Paul St. I have finally received my brand new dishwasher. Now I can finally move on and put this ridiculous situation behind me. I’m still shocked this took so long but not so much now really after doing some research online about Easyhome I found a website called ConsumerComplaints.com where I’ve seen other people having the same issue. Crazy as I am still shaking my head over this whole situation.
I’m glad I have my new dishwasher, my free laptop and that I’m finally done with Easyhome. I can honestly say that I do not think that they’ll ever get my business again, at least not that Easyhome location that I guarantee for sure.
Great blog Moncton Blogger! I’ll definitely stop by again and hope that you are able to help other people in Moncton. I think this is a great place where Moncton can talk. I don’t know which one of you at the business seminar own this blog but maybe we’ll talk again another day. Curious now on which of you did this actually
Thanks Moncton Blogger!
Your very welcome!
Seems like you got a pretty good deal getting a free laptop too. I’m just glad that this Easyhome issue you were having at the one on Paul St. in Moncton is finally resolved. Waiting a full year for this is beyond belief. I guess my email I sent to Easyhome did open their eyes like you said and they finally took necessary action to make things right.
I’m sure we’ll talk another time at any business events held in Moncton. In the meantime I’ll leave you wondering on my identity and hope you enjoy your new dishwasher and laptop from Easyhome that was long overdue.
Sincerely,
Moncton Blogger
