Yesterday afternoon James Delorey, the young 7 year old autistic boy who was rescued in Nova Scotia has died in the IWK Hospital hours later. James Delorey wandered away from his home a few days ago and many people volunteered to help find the young boy. One woman was hoping that a miracle would happen and it did happen shortly later with the discovery of young James Delorey after his dog Chance suddenly came home. Unfortunately the young autistic boy has died in hospital today at the IWK in Nova Scotia.
James Delorey was rushed to the IWK Hospital in Halifax in a helicopter suffering from severe hypothermia. He was in critical condition when he arrived. Despite all the efforts of doctors, the young autistic boy James Delorey died in hospital.
Today is a very sad day not only for the family of the young autistic boy James Delorey but for everyone who was following this story or who has helped try to find the young boy. From a day of happiness and optimism once the young boy was rescued ended up in tragedy a few hours later.
Our hearts goes out to the parents and family of James Delorey at this difficult time. I speak for many as they have our deepest sympathy.

With deepest sympathy to the Delorey family. I know James wasn’t alone in the woods until his dog went home to get help. I am convinced that his dog laid by him to try to keep him warm, and God was watching over him. No words can express the sorrow in your hearts. Please know that you are not alone.
