Well its December and Moncton still has yet to get a winter snowstorm this year! Well that wait is over! Moncton is expected to get close to 20cm of snow from Saturday evening to Sunday afternoon. So pull out your shovels, get your snowblowers ready as winter has finally arrived.

So far we’ve been lucky with very mild temperature which are above normal for this time of year. We’ve had a great November and very nice weather up until now. This will be the first winter snowstorm for 2009 in Moncton and just a glimpse of what we have to look forward to for the remainder of winter. This is the first snowstorm of many and the long term forecast is calling for another 10-15 cm of snow on Wednesday but we’ll wait and see how that turns out.

We may just have a white Christmas after all! Let it snow, let it snow
