Well I’ve been following the Facebook Group 1111 Faces by Nick Gaines, a local Moncton photographer who has quite an interesting project that he’s doing. Nick Gaines photos are remarkable and truly amazing! Nick started the 1111 Faces project back on January 1, 2009 and it was scheduled to be completed by January 1, 2010 but Nick was able to finish his 1111 Faces Project on November 11th, 2009. Nick Gaines was allowing people to get professional photography in Moncton done for only a $5 sitting fee. If anyone is looking for a Moncton Photographer I would highly suggest contacting Nick Gaines. His photography and experience is well displayed in his work which is displayed on his Facebook Group ” 1111 Faces By Nick Gaines “.

Here’s a short video of 1111 Faces by Nick Gaines which explains more about his latest project.
What a great project that Nick Gaines has done and one that many have enjoyed taken him up on his offer. For those of you who don’t know of this project on Facebook then go login to your Facebook account and type in the search bar ” 1111 Faces By Nick Gaines ” to see his work. I will try and stay up to date on this Facebook Group as much as I can.
Right now there is voting going on in one group of photos in which the voting is soon coming to an end. Voting is very close between two photos I’ve seen in the Facebook group one of Nicole R. Doiron and Jared Hartley taken by Nick Gaines. The leaf photo of Nicole is amazing and a true piece of art! The other is a nice photo ladies will love of Jared Hartley from what appears he’s a local Riverview volunteer Firefighter. Two excellent photographs! So if you all want to vote, go join 1111 Faces By Nick Gaines Facebook Group and vote for the best photos among them all. There’s many more great shots taken by Nick go and see.
Here are the two photos of this group of potential winners and a sample of Nick Gaines Photography:

*** Please note 1111 Faces By Nick Gaines is not a Photo contest but will be an amazing gala exhibit***

Hey there, I have just noticed that on Nov 22nd, someone wrote an article about my 1111 FACES photo project. Its a great article and I just wanted to thank who ever wrote it. But there are a few mistakes. Its said in the article that its a FACEbook photo contest, this is not true and that donations from sponsors will be given out at the gala.
What is actually happening is that I started on Jan 1st’09 and was attempting to photograph 1111 different people by Jan 1st’10. I managed to complete my project on November 11th’09.
As for the voting, ever 111 people were considered a group, 10 groups in total. During the voting of each group fans on FACEbook will vote on their favorite pic. Once all the winners from each group have been decided I will be making a album on FB for fans to decide the best photo of the year. The winner of the “year photo” will recieve some sort of gift from a sponsor. All 10 groups have had a winner and as of Wednesday evening I’ll be posting a ablum on FACEbook for fans to vote on the “Photo of the Year”.
I just wanted to clarify that FACEs is not a photo contest, that it is going to be an amazing gala exhibit. It will open to the public and be held @ “Vie” Tapas & Lounge on Jan 11th, 2010. “Vie” is located in Robinson Square.
Again tell your blogger, thank you for taking the time to write about my project. I do appreciate it.
Thank You.
Nick Gaines
Thanks Nick for clearing that up and letting us know! I had that changed for you above as well as your comment explains to everyone about your 1111 Faces Project.
I will also add that to our local events section to let people know about your Gala Exhibit which will be held in the New Year at the Vie.
Keep up the great work Nick and we wish you much success with any future projects you do. Truly amazing work!

Due to the allegations posted … FB was down for me, I had posted the pics and tried to re-add them. I gave people a second option with adding me to vote and all of a sudden the comments start coming in about me cheating and such. I’m not favortising, I simple want the winner to be the best photo in that group, whether it be the fireman, Nicole or any other photo.
FB was acting up, sending me messages from days before, deleting comments then all of a sudden resurfacing, as well as removals all together.
With all the issues surrounding the comments on the new article … I have removed all the photos off FB from my personal profile and re-added them and managed to upload everything to the group 1 by 1. The photos are now available on both pages (mine & FACEs group). All photos are currently were at zero votes. As its been said about me cheating or wanting my friends to win by me voting on a couple photos.
This is strictly a FB thing. As said before in the album description these were the pics voted on by the fans, not me. At the gala, the photos I feel that have been best all year will be displayed.
People are making this out to be a popularity contest, and not a best photo contest. This was supposed to be a fun way to end such a fantastic project, instead its resulted in rumors and assumptions.
My apoligies to any of you who think different.
Great picture Jared Hartley, you look very proud to be a firefighter. I am reminded of the woman you saved in the vehicle crash on Hwy 114. Single handily, you used the axe to remove the windshield and got her out of the vehicle just before it caught fire. The RCMP office on call that day was very impressed at your courage and professionalism as you took charge of a very serious situation.
