For all of us business owners who regularly use services like Yahoo Search Marketing as a way to target their customers you should be aware of a new email scam that just came out recently. I have talked to Yahoo in regards to this and this is indeed another phishing scam that is circulating across the globe. Any user of a computer should be aware of exactly what a phishing scam is and signs of one so you know how to avoid getting caught in their bait. This Yahoo Search Marketing email scam is catching many users and these scammers are very good at what they do unfortunately.
For anything you sign up to whether it be Yahoo Search Marketing, Google Adwords, Hotmail, Facebook etc.. the list goes on they will never ask you to verify or update your personal information or enter in your password through a link. This is a way for them to steal your personal information or identity. Identity theft has become huge over the last few years and phishing scams are a way that hackers do so. This latest Yahoo Search Marketing is the latest scam to date and it sure won’t be the last.
If you think of it, you were already exposed to many phishing scams and didn’t really notice it. The most common one seen many many times is an email that supposively comes from Paypal. This is one you probably all have seen once, twice or even a dozen times. I am going to show you the email scam forYahoo Search Marketing that is being sent out too many users.
This is the email I’ve received many times now, please note the urgency in the email. A technique with scammers use to pressure you into doing it increasing their conversions on people they scam. Unfortunately it works as it applies much to the marketing industry by placing deadlines on sales to increase revenue. Please see the below email.
