Have ever seen a giant pumpkin before? You have never seen anything like this 1725 pound pumpkin that was grown by Nick and Christy Harp of Ohio in Jackson Township. Every year they have an annual pumpkin growing contest Ohio Valley Giant Pumpkin Growers Contest  and  Christy and Nick’s pumpkin weighed in at an amazing 1725 pounds. They ended up taken first place and winning $2500. What a giant pumpkin indeed!

After seeing this giant pumpkin, I think my brother needs some more experience from the pros. I joked with him today about this on how his got outgrew by like almost eight times. This year was his first year growing giant pumpkins and he ended up having quite a few pumpkins in and around 250 lbs. Not a bad size for the first time growing them, but no where close to this 1725 lb. pumpkin grown in Ohio. We’ll have to wait and see what he does next year but congrats to Nick and Christy Harp and your 1725 pound giant pumpkin and winning 1st place and taking $2500 at the pumpkin growing competition.
